Chillin in the New Year

I have no idea where this picture is from, but I could not find any copyrights to it when I googled. My apologies.  It fits my current situation though.

I am climbing the walls at home and trying to make the best of it... for 4 weeks and counting.  Rumproaster came down for a weekend and wisked me away to the movies to get me out of the house.  We went to see War Horse.  I highly recommend seeing that one.  Take some tissues.  It's a tear jerker.

Other than sneaking out to dinner and a movie, I've been sitting at home...drinking good wine, eating good food, watching good dvd's and generally being a bumm.

Hopefully this blog will get some regular updating now.  I do hope to get to spring cleaning on this blog soon.  It needs an overhaul.  Plus I hope to begin doing some post on lovely people I've met in the scene - provided they give their permission.   I find that I enjoy the friendships of spankos in a vanilla sense much more than plain vanillas for the most part.  Then you can have everyday fun - and if a spanking comes up, no need to hide it.  But if not, being in the company of friends is one of life's greatest pleasures.  I have some good, sincere, fun loving friends in the scene and have enjoyed them immensely in a variety of situations.  Friendships take years to develop and I love to enjoy the progression over time.

Ok, I'm rambling.  More later.  Hopefully.

Meeting Jean

Jean is a wonderful lady I met probably a year and a half ago. She is quiet, but boy can she brat.

She has very good hearing.  She once heard me say, "Please" (more than once, mind you) to a top FROM ACROSS THE ROOM in a scene where he was demanding I apologize. He kept spanking and claims he "didn't hear" me say that.  I'm still trying to figure out how he couldn't hear from less than 2 feet away yet Jean heard  from across the room.  Thank you, Jean, for that support. There is a spanker out there with VERY selective hearing!

Jean is getting spanked here by Thomas for being all perfect and angelic.  She deserved every swat.  She also is teaching a certain top named Mike, how to count.  He's not very good at it yet.  She is quiet, alot of fun, and a very good brat.  I love getting to know her at events and in vanilla settings too.  Can't wait until we meet again.

Making More Friends Along the Way

When I started out in the spanking world not so long ago, I was fearful of ending up on the 6 o'clock news, naive about people's intentions, way too trusting in some instances, not trusting enough in others, not sure of what was expected of me OR the top, thought other's experiences were the example of how mine should be, the whole gamut of newbie fears, frustrations and learning curves.  I've made mistakes and had successes along the way and am more than willing to share both with whomever asks.  But mostly, all my experiences have been good ones.

One a side note, Sarah Thorne has a great post on "Safety in The Scene".  You can find that link Here .

Surprisingly (to me), I have ended up making some of my best friends with people who are spankos.  It is nice to relax, put the wall down that hides this kink, and just be friends.  If the spanking side comes out, wooo hooo.  If not, I really enjoy their company otherwise.  I cannot imagine my life without spanking friends anymore.  For me, it's about making lasting friendships first and spanking second.  I think I'm better equipped now to bring the backbone I have in my personal life into my spanking life.

Here's to all my spanko friends in PA, NC, MI, FL, KY, SC, AL, NJ, NY and anywhere else I missed.  I'm looking forward to more years of friendship and making more friends along the way.

Tops and Their Weapons of Ass Destruction

One thing I've noticed about tops - they all have a duffel bag of sorts with weapons of ass destruction.  Not one of them has just a single implement. Noooooo.  It must be 10, 20, 30, 40 or more, lol.  Most tops also want to try ALL of them out on you!  Pictured to the right is the contents of a friend's bag from way back over two years ago. I'm sure by now, the duffel bag has doubled in size, as have the contents!  Althoouuuugh - he does has a girlfriend who, rumor has it, keeps hiding them. ;)  (I LIKE her!)

Meeting a New Friend

I hope to make mention of many of the folks I have met in person in the scene.   Today's post is just a little about one of the tops I have met.

In 2009, I started chatting with a top because his screen name made me chuckle - RumpRoaster.  Within a couple of months, we had progressed to some IM, phone chats and meeting up.  He is a *cough* *sputter* a good *cough* *cough* spanker and really fun to hang out with too, both vanilla and spanking. (Can't believe I'm saying that since he HAS broken both a plastic-made-to-look-like wooden hair brush AND a ping pong paddle on my butt - see above picture.)

I've found he loves certain things in particular:  a brat sticking their tongue out at him, mayonnaise on anything and everything, and pink (not white) denture cream.  He also is quite fond of a brat, any brat, bouncing up and down on the couch saying, "spank me, spank me" when he is trying to veg out or watch tv - or at 1AM.  Another favorite of his is if someone moves his implements to much safer locations.  If you meet him one day, try one or all of these!  You can tell him I told you :).  He will be so appreciative.

Long Distance Mentoring

I've had a couple of brief long distance mentors. The first friend caught the brunt of my injury which is now largely resolved, minus the spinal cord injury... plus he unknowingly saved my life by his scoldings, chat lines, and encouragement. I was in a situation long after this, where I had the choice to do what we had worked on - or not. I did it (and have always done it since we worked together), and had I not, I most likely would have been killed or seriously maimed. I only got the chance recently to thank him.

The second friend worked with me for a bit and then had to quit because of needing to spend attention to other things in his life. It was this mentor who helped me get focused on what I needed to do to turn my life around. I will always be grateful for his wisdom and encouragement...and even his quite painful interventions. I am still working on implementing some of the things we worked on.

One friend did put me in the corner once, said he'd try to do it once a week, to help keep me focused. That happened only once. He prefers real life encounters and feels they are more beneficial to both the spankee and himself - and we live quite a distance away from each other. He has spanked me real life several times when I was in his area and has helped keep me on the straight and narrow (or rather return me to the straight and narrow) very effectively.

For the short spurts of LD mentoring I have had, it has helped tremendously. I do have to say that self spanking totally doesn't work for me. I mean, it helps embarrass me and it motives me to do better. But there is no pain like the real thing. I seem to need the real pain and real spanking for it to change my attitude or behavior, if it has finally come down to needing a spanking. But writing chat lines, or being scolded, being put in the corner, being grounded from tv and/or internet, and early bedtimes helps to motivate me to change and toe the line too. LD helps when nothing else is available - but both parties have to be willing to work at it a little - especially when a real spanking just is not feasible.

I think my days of LD mentoring are over, but it certainly was helpful, and I made great strides with some things I really needed to work on and improve.

Has LD mentoring helped anyone else?

Phrases

There are some phrases that just make me shudder, knowing trouble is on the way. Some of them are:

"Young lady..."
"Come here"
"What did you just say??"
"Bend over my knee."
"You are getting a spanking."
"We are going to have a chat."
"We'll discuss that later."

I also hate the "You are in so much trouble." look.

Luckily, (or very occasionally, not so luckily?) I don't have anyone who spanks me on a regular basis, or even a semi-regular basis - so I have a little leeway to do some fun things that I would not otherwise do if I knew there would be trouble brewing (not even necessarily a spanking - lines, being scolded, corner time, even just knowing I disappointed someone - stuff like that can work for me too.)

How about you guys? Are there any phrases that make your ears perk up and your stomach sink?

Red Heads Rule

Lately life has been just a little difficult. Sick, winding up in the ER, some friends dying, those kinds of things. I'm a little tired. The tireder I get, the punchier I get.

So, feeling silly, punchy, and incredibly exhausted, I had Mr. Ed's Theme Song rolling around in my head (a horse is a horse, of course, of course) and decided to make up a poem about red-headed spankees sorta/kinda patterned after that song. I'm a red head. More of a blonde-ish red head, but a red head nonetheless.

So here goes:
Framed after Mr. Ed's song, A Horse is Horse of Course of Course - NOT singable,
with LOTS of liberties taken - of course! (Don't try to sing the song along with the poem - it won't work, lol)

A red head is a red head, of course, of course.
We brat and bat eyes which ends in remorse.
Our hair is red, and often our bottoms are too.
A red head is a red head, of course, of course.

There's nothing like a red headed spankee, of course.
No one can talk to a red head, of course.
That is, of course, unless you speak softly and carry a paddle.

Go right to the red head and ask, of course.
We'll always give you an answer you can endorse.
Though feisty and bratty - we're level headed, you know.
Ask the ones who speak softly and carry a paddle.

Some can yikkity yak a streak and waste your time of day,
But those who speak softly and carry a paddle
Don't speak unless they have something to say.
(Of course!)

A red head is a red head, of course, of course.
Sometimes we talk until our voice is hoarse.
You've never heard of a red head who is hoarse?
Talk to the ones who speak softly and carry a paddle.

A red head is a red head, of course, of course.
We brat and bat eyes which ends in remorse.
Our hair is red, and often our bottoms are too.
A red head is a red head, of course, of course!

RED HEADS RULE!!

A Little About Me

  • I am 30 and holding. Girls never get older than 30. 30 with 5 years experience - or 30 with 10 years experience - but it's never older than 30 ;) It's the guys who age and become geriatric without much effort mwaahh ha ha.
  • I've lived in big cities, little towns and everywhere in between. Currently, I live in a rural community. Very rural. Some places are so rural it's safe to go naked. (Maybe THAT'S why UPS and Fed Ex refuse to deliver here, lol.)
  • Was in an accident and was incorrectly diagnosed. This incorrect diagnoses led to damage that was irreversible. I've spent a long time relearning everything - from feeding myself without missing my mouth, to holding things without dropping them, to rolling over, to sitting up without falling over, to standing, and now walking, among several other things. Thousands of hours have gone into PT and in front of mirrors to make things look natural again. The amount of work it takes to simply live life everyday is incredibly exhausting. I've managed to make most things look normal again. Still working on a few others, but will have them mastered too.
  • Since this injury, I've lost a lot in my life. I lost a family member. I lost my livelyhood. I lost my home. I lost my abilities - abilities that most people take for granted (and so did I) - and had to relearn them. I lost my independence and had to regain that. I lost some friends who had a hard time with the fact that I couldn't walk anymore, even though I was working on relearning that. (Fuck them.) I lost three friends to cancer. I lost my best friend in a totally different accident. But I did discover that the most precious thing in life is the people IN your life...your friends and family. I take losses of family and friends hard now adays and love my friends and family with abandon now - maybe because I feel I lost so much with the injury. But my deep care and affection of my friends and family comes from having lost so much - and realizing that really, it's the people in your life that matter. You can lose alot, but if you still have your friends and/or family, your are truly rich.
  • Despite the negative things, I am very motivated, happy, and positive about life in general. I believe being happy is a choice and that life is often what you choose to make of your situation. My life isn't what I had planned, but then, whose life IS totally what they had planned?
  • Had several breaks in my back, hips and legs. I also had a skull fracture. This all has contributed to constant pain and an unrelenting, constant headache for many years - ever since the accident.
  • I don't take narcotics for my pain except very, very rarely. I can count on one hand the number of times I've resorted to that level pain med in many years. I hate how it makes me feel, so I just distract myself.
  • Have found that a spanking actually relieves most of my aches and pains for a while. So, although I don't like the pain of a good spanking the moment it is happening, I like the side effects. Quite the unexpected side effect of a spanking of less pain and better self control. I'll take it!
  • 2 horses, 4 cats, 1 opposum, 4 dogs, and 1 turtle (all rescues).
  • I try to volunteer at several animal shelter places when I feel well enough. I also try to volunteer and hold sick kids whose parents can't be there 24/7 for whatever reason at the hospital when I am up to that.
  • I try to take classes online on days I can do so.
  • Am planning on finishing grad school - not much left to complete. Hopefully within the next year, but have other goals to reach 1st. So no time limit there. Just another goal.
  • Am really wanting to learn to speak German, Russian, Polish, French and several other languages fluently. Currently, I only know swear words in German, Russian and Polish (forgot the Polish), which can be quite nice when you want to talk to a spanker about how you truly feel about things at the moment while you are upended and them not know what you are saying, lol.
That's pretty much it in a nutshell.

Spankings definitely help lower pain levels (an unexpected "side effect") and help make me more focused to reach life goals as well. I've also found that spankos are, for the most part, kind, generous, understanding and much more fun than many of the prudes I hung around before spanking! I have to admit, I do have some really fun vanilla friends. It's just so much MORE fun when friends are also spankos! Have met several really nice, fun spankos in real life. Just met a few more at my 1st spanking party (woot!), as well as seeing old friends (old as in we've know each other for a while, as well as old, as in, well, elderly). Spankings, birthday parties, spankings, games, spankings, relaxing, spankings, eating, spankings, just hanging around and chatting. Did I say spankings?

Spanking party news coming soon. Stay tuned.

Meeting a New Friend

About a month after I began speaking with a spanker through emails and IM's in 2007, I began corresponding with a lady (spankee) from one of the sites I had begun to frequent. She gave me her phone number after several IM's and emails and I called. We seemed to hit it off instantly and have communicated in some way almost every day since. She was a wealth of information for me and started showing me the ropes. (I found out not too long after that conversation that she and the spanker I had been corresponding with had thought I was someone else and wanted to start a timely phone interaction with me to make sure I wasn't her, lol.) I was crushed that that first conversation wasn't because I had such a great personality, ha ha. (just kidding) Anyway, seeing as I wasn't the person they thought I was, I had the chance to prove that I might be worth the effort for some discipline to help me change my behaviors. I was (and still am, to some extent) so out of control with some specific behaviors - but improving with help that is available, as it comes available. But having a friend who already knew lots about spanking, and with her being a women, I could ask her questions I was too embarrassed to ask my male spanking friend. Eventually I met her and stayed in her home. She has also come to mine. We visit each other when we can now. She was and is a good friend, the best. Since meeting my first spanko friend, I have gone on to meet some more spanko friends, whom I will write about another time. Spankos are a unique breed of people from all walks of life. It has been nice to find that I wasn't as weird as I thought.

The Next Step

The next step was for me to start searching through the members of the domestic discipline groups in yahoo I had joined. I systematically went through each name and looked at their profile. After hours and hours (and hours and hours) of searching, I found an ad for a spanker who said he offered exactly what I was looking for. Nothing extreme, nothing sexual, just old fashioned style spanking and related discipline. It took me several weeks to hit the send button after I composed my first email to him, but eventually I did. Lo and behold, he answered. He was a wealth of information to this complete and foolish novice and even taught me how to instant message, lol. I had tons and tons of questions and he took the time to answer them all, as well as to ask tons of questions of me. He also referred me to the Spankingneeds.com site (Spankingtherapy.org had not been "born" yet.) The more questions I asked and the more I answered of him, the more questions came to mind.

Delving In

I searched the internet every night after work and waded through tons of BDSM sites, finally finding some sites for Domestic Discipline - something I had never heard of before in my life. I also found some yahoo groups about adult discipline and joined all of them I could find. Finally, after several months, I mustered enough courage to email one of the Domestic Discipline sites and ask the owner how I should begin my search. Not thinking I would receive an answer to my email, I was quite surprised when I received a prompt reply. His advice was to think of a different name, screenname, and email address than my real life one and start my search with that in mind. He advised that not everyone you meet online is who or what they say they are and gave some very good advise on safety and meeting new people, etc.... I would have never thought of these things, and had indeed, emailed him with my real email address. I implemented all of his suggestions. This was the beginning of my search.

First Beginnings

My story begins after an accident that left me needing months and months of physical and occupational therapy. I had physical therapists and occupational therapists telling me I could use a good spanking. Although I tried really hard at all the exercises I was given, my use of the English language was (even before my accident) quite colorful. In addition, I threw caution to the wind and engaged in fun, but, ummm questionably safe, behaviors on a VERY regular basis. Of course, my bratty side came out quite regularly as well - in a fun way - but nonetheless - still quite obvious even to the most casual observer. Finally, one of my doctors sat me down and stated that it was too bad my injury had not occurred to me while I was a child, because I needed a good spanking. He wasn't kidding. Neither were my physical and occupational therapists....

Sooooooooooooooooooooo... I invested in a computer, which I had never owned before, and began using the Google search engine for all things spanking. What I found was amazing! It took quite a while to wade through the pornographic stuff that I was NOT interested in, to finding that there was indeed adult, consensual spankings - not only for erotic reasons, but for stress relief and for disciplinary reasons as well.

The ins and outs of a whole new world was there for me to start learning about and exploring. This was the start of my journey.

Stay tuned - more to come.
